Chiropractic

Chiropractic care benefits animals in respect to both pain and movement.

Chiropractic involves low amplitude-high velocity manoeuvres performed at specific joints. It helps to restore the body’s natural movement in joints. This increases range of motion and helps with flexibility, which can thereby help with athletic performance.

Animals with chronic muscle pain and spasms can find relief through restoring the joint’s natural movement.

Performance animals who undergo regular chiropractic care have a lesser chance of injury due to a more natural gait. Horses being evaluated for back pain can also be evaluated for saddle fit issues.

Conditions commonly treated

  • Any performance animal when bending, flexibility, and comfort may be diminished
  • Back pain including muscle pain and spasms
  • Stiffness
  • Sacro-iliac pain in horses
  • Uneven gait or body carriage
