Meet Dr Kristin Doust

Dr. Kristin Doust received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from the Colorado State University in 2001. She worked as a general practitioner in mixed animal practices and emergency medicine for several years.

Managing animals in pain quickly became her passion, which led to becoming certified in Medical Acupuncture for Veterinarians (MAV) from Colorado State University in 2008. In 2012, she studied at Options for Animals in Kansas to become certified with the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association (IVCA).

Most recently, she received her certification in Companion Animal Pain Medicine (CAPM), as well as becoming both a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner (CCRP) and a Certified Equine Rehabilitation Practitioner.

Equine Patients

Her horse patients included top-level dressage, barrel racers, polocrosse, reining and cutting horses.

Canine Patients

Her dog patients included field trial, agility and policy dogs, as well as many, many beloved family pets.

She has also worked on cats, ferrets, alpacas, goats, cattle and even wolves!

Kristin moved to Toowoomba from Colorado in early 2019, along with her husband (an Australian native), 2 daughters, and 3 dogs. Whilst she misses the large amounts of snow-fall in Colorado, she enjoys the comfortable outdoor living of Queensland. She has made the change from watching her daughters compete in ice-hockey to watching them compete in camp-drafting and cricket.
